Lambton County Archives seeking applications for Heritage Hunters video series

Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Archives is now accepting applications from community members eager to explore their genealogical roots for a new video series called Heritage Hunters. This series will follow the Archives staff and a local resident as they work together to uncover their family story.
Each episode will journey through the historical records, personal discoveries, and connections that shape Lambton County’s past. The series aims to explore interesting stories hidden in local history while experiencing genealogical research in a unique and engaging way.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for those curious about their family’s past. We’re looking for enthusiastic participants who want to bring history to life through their family stories,” said Nicole Aszalos, Archivist/Supervisor with Lambton County Archives. “Genealogical research can lead to exciting discoveries. Heritage Hunters will give the public a chance to follow along with this process and show how archival records preserve personal histories by uncovering the story of a local Lambton family in real time.”
The application period runs from February 17 to March 28, 2025. The selected participants will be notified in mid-April, with research and filming taking place from May through July. The final series is set to premiere in December 2025.
