Opportunities for women in the workplace have changed thanks to new ideas about the concept of work and early trailblazers who challenged old professions and set a new standard for women in business.
Women have often been left out of discussions about work because the concept ignores a lot of the unpaid work that women do (housework, childcare, care of the elderly, or community service, as a few examples).
